Projects in Dublin--suggestions

Projects in Dublin--suggestions

Postby E'an » Mon Mar 22, 2004 6:06 pm

Hello out there

I will be in Dublin for five days in early April and would like suggestions for newer architecture projects to visit. The guidebooks and so forth that I can find here focus on historical projects so I feel like I will be able to figure that out reasonably well.

As an architect (currently working in Philadelphia) I am really interested in seeing what designers in Dublin are doing. I figure that this forum is the place to get some good inside information and tips. Public projects that I can actually get into would be ideal but anything that is worth seeing from the outside only would be great also.

Thanks much in advance,

Elizabeth

Baldoyle Public Library - North Dublin City... on coast-- Cabra Sports Centre - North Dublin City also... .. just two suggestions... you might want to have a look at "new irish architecture" results of the annual AAI competition published yearly by gandon editions and available in most of the bookshops. You might find one or two of the projects here interesting too! http://www.roskavanagh.com
