I am not going to comment on the culprits, but I really agree with you Alan. I am finding some of the threads here lately hard to make any sense of!

Thanks

indeed. as a casual onlooker i find it hard to concentrate on any post that exceeds 10-15 lines. particularly if the post is debating with itself before anyone else even has a read of it.

And then once you *do* start debating, the previous posts suddenly change, shrink and disappear... very disconcerting.

Hey ro_G, you're a glutton for punshment, obviously. Post exceeding 10-15 lines, eh?

Recently postings have my eyes bleeding after the first unintelligible sentence.

Losing interest fast, consequently................. and sadly

Architecture is easy, obviously it's english that's hard....oh and puting together a single, coherent thought

Easy to see why you did Architecture and not English although if there was a degree in hate studies you'd just have to turn up for the exam, you'd get a 1.1

With the thread in total its in the wrong section, it should be in Suggestions and Announcements

With this post in particular, it sounds like a spoilt kid whinging on about a former lecturer who found said kid ordinary at best.

There's nowhere near enough semi-random bold type or tenuous cross-linking in this thread.

I demand answers!

I like the quotes in a box additions ........ so recently favoured by Diaspora, helloinsane.

The bombast , when he?she? tells you you're in the wrong section also is particularly satisfying.

It was an evolutionary response to an ever-changing environment.

Bombast, good word.

I would like to reiterate that I'm generally in favour of architectural debate, especially here. Any comments should be taken as helpful, if satirical, criticism.

Most posters are in favour of debate this site has seen many well conceived debates.

I must plead deficiency on the latter however.

The prize for ultimate Bombast goes to Alan D on the 'When Sligo clipped the wings of Dunlop and Murray' Thread.

1. The claim that there was a need for a Sligo-|Galasgow chamber of Commerce.

2. That the poor clients children would have nothing to inherit.

If stating that a thread attacking another contributor should have been posted as a suggestion is Bombastic, what is the attack itself?

I read the tone as friendly, not attacking. Perhaps some modicum of criticism is justified?

Most of the critism on archiseek is, but images of 'making eyes bleed' and 'numskull' pushes that a little far I think :o

Phil's responses to this thread and many others are the perfect example of what you are getting at. . ;)

Seeing as you brought colour into the argument. What about your post. It is very definietely a case of the Kettle calling the pot (Garethace) black. Beacaue your first quote makes absolutely no sense.

Did you bang your head when you fell out of the pram?

well yes Diaspora...I did fall out of my pram and as a consequence am blind in one eye and wear a hearing aid.

It took me ten years to finish architecture school, when all around me said I should quit.

But I made it....... only just to be ridiculed by you
