Dublin Conservative Club, Camden Row

Saw a mention of this in today's Irish Times and went up to Camden Row to have a look. Sadly, the place was shut but it I was struck by the size of the building itself. The brass plaque on the front says the Dublin Conservative Club was founded in 1833. Does anyone know anything about it?

Is that an old photo? Looks like O'Donnell Tuomey's offices before the window was put in the middle bay?

Never been inside but I know some friends who were there about 3 years at a wedding reception. Apparently it has an really good billiards table and is available to book for functions. I will try find out more. Had forgotten all about it until you mentioned it.

Nope, that's it. The entrance is the black door. The brass plaque I referenced in my earlier post is next to it. The "Club" is on the corner of Camden Row and New Bride Street.
