When up home in Monaghan this weekend, I came across an unusal metal church in a very small out of the way mill village. It seems it was built in iron after the local landowners wife saw similar churches in Switzerland on her honeymoon. Its even built on a small rocky outcrop beside a rushing river for that added picturesque effect.

Do you remember they put an entire village up for sale in Monaghan about two years ago? Could it be this one?

reminds me of the addition to le corbusiers ronchamp completed by el architino after his apprenticeship under the great master.
I really think he hit the nail on its head with his subtle references to new fangled steam iron technology!

heres a sketch i did on a pilgramage.

nothing compared to the masters original biro works. but a small homage non the less
